Legal

Terms of Service

The proposed terms for using CostGrid and administering an organisation workspace.

Draft — not yet effective · Version 0.1.0

Draft for qualified legal review. Publication is blocked until operator identity, registered address, notices, liability, indemnity, governing-law and dispute terms are verified.

Eligibility and authority

You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement and provide accurate account information. A person creating or claiming an organisation must be authorised to represent it. Organisation administrators are responsible for membership, role and project-access decisions within their workspace.

Accounts and credentials

Keep credentials and authentication devices secure, use individual accounts, and notify the verified CostGrid contact route if access may have been compromised. Accounts and shared access may not be sold, transferred or used to impersonate another person or organisation.

Service scope

CostGrid provides construction cost planning, financial-control, evidence, workflow, reconciliation and reporting functions. Features shown as preview, beta, disabled or planned are not part of an active paid service commitment.

CostGrid supports construction cost planning, control, evidence management, reconciliation and reporting. It does not independently certify accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, engineering or audit compliance; validate contractor or supplier claims; guarantee project cost, savings, profitability or completion outcomes; or replace authorised professional judgment.

Customer data and operating licence

The customer retains its rights in organisation, project and uploaded content. The customer grants only the limited rights needed to host, secure, process, transmit, back up and present that content to authorised users and instructed service providers. The customer is responsible for accuracy, lawful collection and upload rights.

Confidentiality and acceptable use

Each party must protect confidential information using reasonable care and use it only for the service relationship. Users must follow the User Engagement Rules. Security or audit evidence may be preserved where needed to investigate misuse, protect the service or meet legal obligations.

Third-party services

Optional authentication, email, analytics, storage, integration and future payment services may be supplied by third parties under their own terms. Pending payment infrastructure is not active and no provider availability or payment outcome is promised by this draft.

Trials, subscriptions, billing and taxes

Displayed plan limits and trial terms apply only when activated for the account. Charges, billing cycle, taxes, renewal, cancellation and any refund commitment must be shown in a verified order or checkout before a charge. Customers may not alter subscription, trial or entitlement records.

Suspension, termination, export and deletion

Access may be restricted or suspended to address security, unlawful use, non-payment under an active order, or material breach. Export and deletion requests are subject to verified authority, technical feasibility, evidence preservation and applicable retention or legal obligations. Irreversible tenant deletion requires a separately approved, audited procedure.

Intellectual property

CostGrid and its software, documentation, design and service materials remain the property of their respective owners. No licence is granted except the limited right to use the service during authorised access.

Warranties, liability and indemnity

These clauses require qualified legal review and verified commercial limits before publication. No final warranty disclaimer, liability cap or indemnity is stated in this draft.

Governing law and disputes

The governing law, forum and dispute process require qualified legal review and verified operator details before publication.

Changes and notices

Material changes will be versioned and require re-acceptance before normal workspace access. The final notice method and verified legal contact details must be supplied before publication.
